Brian Blair reveals Hulk Hogan’s influence on forming the Killer Bees, his new book “Truth Bee Told”

Published

on

Brian Blair stopped by the “Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling” podcast to discuss his new book “Truth Bee Told,” as well as Hulk Hogan’s influence on forming the Killer Bees.

Brian Blair has a new book that is out called “Truth Bee Told”:

When asked about his new book, Blair said, “It’s called ‘Truth Bee Told.’ It’s being sold on Amazon. I have to thank Bret Hart, Steve Keirn and Hulk Hogan for doing my forwards and my after forwards.”

“It’s my life story, but I tell other people’s stories. There’s everything in the book from some of the funniest stories that I’ve ever been a part of, some of the funniest ribs and pranks. It’s a true story about how you can be what you want to be.”

Talking about how the Killer Bees were formed, Brain revealed, “Vince wanted to create a real meaningful tag team division, which he did. Terry (Hulk Hogan) suggested to them, because I was going to come up and work for the Intercontinental Title which Tito Santana wound up in that spot. Tito is a wonderful guy too. I took Terry’s advice.”

“I met Jim (Brunzell) in Brantford, Ontario Canada. We didn’t have a name at that time. We were just Blair and Brunzell. George Scott came up to us and said, ‘You guys need to come up with a catchy name. Vince wants a catchy name before you go on, and you’re on in less than an hour.’”

“I remembered the Killer B’s defense on the Miami Dolphins football team, I think it was in 1972. The linebackers all had last names starting with B and called themselves ‘The Killer B’s.’ I told him (George Scott) over and said, ‘What do you think of The Killer Bees?’ He got a big smile on his face and said, ‘I like it. Let me see what Vince thinks.’ He left right away and came back 10 minutes later. He said, ‘Hey, that’s it. You guys are the Killer Bees.’ So the Bees were born in Brantford, Ontario.”

Who is Lewis Hamilton’s World Famous Media Talent Manager – Penni Thow?

Published

By

Lewis Hamilton is indeed one of the most sensational racing drivers in all of motorsports, and he has often strained himself to keep his focus on Formula One.

Apart from his active career as a racing driver, the seven-time world champion also, quite recently, found himself owning an outfit in the Extreme-E racing series. Why? Well, to raise awareness regarding climate change and to earn himself the experience of running a team.

And that’s not all. Hamilton further launched a project called P44 that promises a great future in racing for young talents in the United Kingdom.

However, considering his blazing hot career in F1 at the moment, it is quite obviously impossible for Hamilton to provide the required focus on and commitment to Extreme-E and the exciting new project.

So, this is where Penni Thow comes into play. Back in May 2021, Motorsport revealed that Thow would be working alongside Hamilton as his media talent manager.

Penni Thow and her role alongside Lewis Hamilton
This interesting partnership basically means that Hamilton can heave a sigh of relief and invest his entire focus onto racing. Meanwhile, Thow will handle the establishment of the initiative, Project 44, and the X44 racing team that currently competes in Extreme-E.

“Lewis is committed to and focused on his racing career for a number of years ahead. But through this partnership, is able to build and grow his business for the longer term,” a source close to P44 said.

So, who is Thow?

Well, Penni Thow is a Canadian who founded Copper, an investment and talent advisory firm. Copper specializes in entertainment, media, sports, fashion, technology, and philanthropy. Before founding Copper, Thow was the executive vice-president of SB Projects.

She apparently worked alongside Scooter Braun, who is quite famous for managing artists like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. Overall, Thow has so far been quite instrumental in handling the functioning of P44.

Hence, considering her immense expertise, can Thow manage to build a commendable base to this promising project before the Briton bids adieu to Formula One? Well, let’s see what the future has to say.

Big A Fight: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua is Too Big Not To Happen – Hearn

Published

on

Eddie Hearn, promoter of Anthony Johsua, believes a domestic blockbuster with Tyson Fury is simply too big of a fight not to happen in the future.

Joshua was outboxed over twelve rounds last September, when he fought Oleksandr Usyk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

On a date in April or May, Joshua will attempt to reclaim the WBO, WBA, IBO, IBF heavyweight titles when he faces Usyk in a contracted rematch.

Fury aims to defend his WBC heavyweight crown on March 26. The opponent is potentially going to be mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte.

A purse bid for Fury-Whyte is scheduled to take place on Friday. Should Whyte drop out from the fight, then names like Robert Helenius, Andy Ruiz and Manuel Charr have been mentioned as possible foes.

Whether or not there are titles at stake, Fury vs. Joshua is still one of the biggest fights to made in the sport – and certainly the biggest on UK soil.

“I think the AJ Fury fight is still the fight,” Hearn said to The DAZN Boxing Show. “I had a guy come up to me today and ask ‘when’s AJ fighting Fury’. I’m kind of like ‘well that ship’s sailed a little bit, we’ve got a few things to work out still, and AJ is rematching Usyk’.

“And the guy says ‘oh is he? Well when’s the Fury fight then?’ That’s the fight that people still want to see and will always be there. The bigger the better. That fight, I promise you, will happen, whether that’s late this year or early next year. Fury vs. AJ is a dead cert to happen because it’s too big a fight not to.”
