Lewis Hamilton rages over F1 ‘That it’s Doesn’t Make Sense’

LEWIS Hamilton has exploded ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, completely baffled by something that “doesn’t make sense”.#

MERCEDES driver Lewis Hamilton was left bewildered by the tyre situation at F1’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix, insisting the compounds brought to Baku by Pirelli are too hard.

Saturday (AEST) practice featured an abundance of incidents, as many drivers took to the track’s run-off areas.

Hamilton, who languished in 10th after failing to get a lap together on the super-softs, believes the tyres were to blame for the number of errors.

“The grip is very bad. I think it’s bad for everyone,” Hamilton said.

“I think everyone is struggling to get the tyres working, the Red Bulls and the Ferraris perhaps less than some others, but everyone is struggling generally in the whole pitlane.

“These tyres are just so hard. They’re too hard.

“You can’t come to this incredibly warm place and have the track at 50 degrees, and these tyres still don’t work, it doesn’t make sense.”

Asked whether the track was more difficult to drive in 2017 than it had been during last year’s inaugural Baku race, Hamilton said: “Yeah. I think a lot of it is contributed by these tyres being a lot worse, in the sense that they’re bigger, heavier, stiffer, harder.

“They just don’t work a lot of the time.

“The track’s 50 degrees and we’ve got the super-soft and the soft and neither of them work.

“It’s almost like we have the hard and the extra-hard tyre here. Extra-hard’s never even been made before, but it is the hard and the extra-hard, that’s the compounds we have here.”

Hamilton’s Mercedes struggled in the Baku heat.
He also suggested that the problems were compounded by tyres losing temperature as drivers navigated their way out of run-off areas.

“Generally what happens is you run wide, it takes you ages to get into reverse, you reverse, by the time you’ve reversed and got it back into first gear and gone off, your tyres have dropped way, way out of the window,” Hamilton said.

“So then you’re tiptoeing around for the next two or three laps, just trying to get temperature back into the tyres.

“It’s a nightmare.”

Teammate Valtteri Bottas, who finished the day a tenth off pacesetter Max Verstappen of Red Bull, echoed Hamilton’s sentiments, saying he would have preferred to see the ultra-soft chosen for this weekend.

“With quite hard tyre compounds for this track, it’s quite difficult,” Bottas said.

“I’m sure everyone would take the ultra-soft if you could choose but those are the tyres for everyone.

Jay-Z has officially been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame—after a little help from Beyoncé and their nine-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

The rapper’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which was held last month but aired on HBO this past weekend, included a tribute video of a cast of stars reciting some of his most famous lyrics.

The video kicks off with Beyoncé. “In my lifetime, more than a million rhymes, no joking,” the iconic singer begins.

The video tribute goes on to show a surprise cast of more than 40 A-listers honoring Jay-Z, including Rihanna, Regina King, Halle Berry, Lenny Kravitz, Naomi Campbell, John Legend, Kerry Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Foxx, and LeBron James.

To close off the sweet video message, Blue Ivy pulls a (censored) line from her dad’s 1998 track “Ride or Die.”

“Congrats, S. Carter, ghost writer. You paid the right price, so we just made your hits tighter,” the nine-year-old Grammy winner says before giggling.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are coming up on 12 years of marriage. We have their relationship timeline from dating to their intimate wedding to the family they’ve built today.

Superstar NFL quarterback Tom Brady, 43, and retired supermodel Gisele Bundchen, 40, have been one of the most good looking power couples of our time. But they almost never came to be, as two months after they began dating, his ex Bridget Moynahan, 49, revealed she was pregnant with Tom’s child. The pair stuck it out and after nearly 12 years of marriage and two children of their own, remain so passionately in love. As Tom goes for his record seventh Super Bowl Ring on Feb. 7, leading his Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Kansas City Chiefs, Gisele will be there as his biggest cheerleader. We’ve got the iconic couple’s romantic timeline.

After being set up by a pal, Gisele agreed to meet Tom for a drink. It was love at first sight for the Brazilian beauty. Even though Tom was still in a relationship with Bridget, their two year romance was winding down. “I knew right way — the first time I saw him,” she told Vanity Fair in a 2009 profile. “We met through a friend. The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, ‘That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen!’”

“We sat and talked for three hours. I had to go home for Christmas, but I didn’t want to leave,” she added. “You know that feeling of, like, you can’t get enough? From the first day we met, we’ve never spent one day without speaking to each other.” She later told Jimmy Fallon in a 2018 Tonight Show appearance, “You know, when I saw those kind eyes, I literally fell in love, like, right away. I was like, ‘What?’ He was just so — you know how sweet he is.” The couple began dating and went public with their relationship a month later

‘Black Adam’ Image Reveals Closer Look at Dwayne Johnson’s Electrifying Costume

Published

on

Black Adam has been delayed for some time now, spending years in development before being held back even more because of Covid-19, but it’ll finally arrive in theatres next year. Relatedly, fans have been chomping at the bit to get a better look at the iconic anti-hero’s thundering suit, decorated with a bolt motif not so far from that of The Flash. Now, with the film so close to arrival, Total Film has revealed a first-look at the costume, capturing star Dwayne Johnson in all of his muscle-bound glory.

The performer shared the cover on his Twitter, quoting his morally dubious protagonist: “The world needed a hero, instead it got me.” Inside the magazine, Johnson promises, he shares his “10 year journey of bringing the Khandaq disrupter to the big screen,” further noting that it’ll be available on shelves this Thursday – so we don’t have too long to wait for a close-up look at Black Adam’s cinematic origin. The suit itself looks terrific, a metallic black-and-gold bit of spandex that communicates strength and tenacity in spades. What else would you want of such an iconic character?

Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia recently spoke about the film and his confidence upon seeing an early cut. In his words:

“Granted, the movie’s in a stage where there are no effects done. It’s so fresh after filming. But anytime the movie is that entertaining and good in that raw of a form, it makes us very confident. So [we’re] really excited with where the movie is. Jaume has done such a good job. The movie is big. It’s fun. DJ was born to play Black Adam — [I’ve] got to tell you, if there was ever anyone who is just perfect for this role, it’s him. Then seeing him with the rest of the JSA and all those characters and Pierce [Brosnan] and Aldis [Hodge] and Quintessa [Swindell] and Noah [Centineo], it’s a “Pinch me” moment. It was one of the most fun movies we’ve ever made and also just the coolest to be making something on this scale and with a character who’s going to have this much of an effect on the DC Universe. It’s really been awesome, and I think you’re really going to dig it.”

Whatever the case, we only have a little while (relatively speaking) to wait until it’ll be on the big screen, and we can make our own minds up.

Until then, check out the cover featuring the suit below. Black Adam comes to theaters on July 29, 2022.
