Who is Erica Herman? All about Tiger Woods’ girlfriend

Tiger Woods’ wild love life has had as many ups and downs as his golf career, and following the athlete’s severe car accident, many are curious to know the woman by his side.

The links great seems to have finally found his groove in dating just one woman — current girlfriend Erica Herman.

Here is everything to know about the pair’s nearly four-year relationship:

Woods and Herman began dating in 2017.

The 45-year-old golf legend and Herman, 44, were first spotted together at the Presidents Cup in 2017.

Herman was sporting a “player spouse” credential around her neck at the time, although they were not married.

Woods had previously been linked to Kristin Smith and Lindsey Vonn after splitting from ex-wife Elin Nordegren, who ended their six-year marriage in 2010, in part because of his many affairs — including with Rachel Uchitel. Woods and Nordegren had two kids together.

Herman is a supportive girlfriend.

Herman frequently travels with Woods to his competitions and was by his side when he earned his fifteenth major title at the 2019 Masters.

She later accompanied Woods to the White House in May of 2019, when the golf great was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President Trump.

Woods posted a picture on Twitter of him, Herman and his children Charlie, 11, and Sam, 13, eating a quiet “Champion’s Dinner” together at home at about the time the canceled 2020 Masters tournament would’ve happened.

Had the event not been delayed for months because of COVID-19, Woods would have been hosting a formal Champions Dinner for fellow pros at Augusta National as the defending champion.

Herman is a Florida native.

Herman worked at Woods’ restaurant — The Woods — as she was local to the area, Metro reported.

Their time running the eatery was not without controversy. Both Herman and Woods were hit with a wrongful death suit in 2019 by the parents of a bartender at The Woods, who allegedly was overserved booze at the establishment and then got into a drunken, fatal wreck. The case against Woods and Herman was eventually dropped, according to reports.

Herman gets along with his kids

Woods and Herman are living together, according to People, and his son Charlie and daughter Sam “like her.”

The publication added that Herman has a friendly relationship with Nordegren as well.

Tiger Woods Revealed How He Handled an Emotional Moment …: ‘I Was to Blame, and So I’m Taking Initiative With the Kids’

People make mistakes, and if the ‘people’ are celebrities, they have to be more careful. As a celebrity golfer, Tiger Woods is always under the camera radar. Check out how he told his children about his split with Elin Nordegren, so they don’t know it from the wrong sources.

Tiger Woods is the most celebrated golfer in the world. Although he was introduced to golf from a young age, the 46-year-old didn’t become a professional until 1996. He has won over 100 tournaments worldwide and 15 majors. In 2001, Woods became the first golfer to hold all major championships at a time.

Although his professional life is seamless, Tiger had troubles controlling his personal life.

In 2009, Woods’ marriage began falling apart due to claims of infidelity and soon the news hit the headlines. His daughter Sam was two years old, and his son Charlie was a newborn at the time. Although the golf legend apologized for his behavior, his wife, Elin Nordegren, divorced Woods in 2010.

Although they got a divorce, they had to present the reason for the divorce to their children.

How did Tiger Woods explain his split with Nordegren to his children?
Tiger Woods spoke about his split with Nordegren in an interview with TIME. He explained how they are working out well on co-parenting and how the kids got to know about the split from their father.

“We’ve worked so hard at co-parenting, to make sure that their lives are fantastic. For instance, I’ve told her this, I’ve taken the initiative with the kids, and told them up front, “Guys, the reason why we’re not in the same house, why we don’t live under the same roof, Mommy and Daddy, is because Daddy made some mistakes. I just want them to understand before they get to Internet age and they log on to something or have their friends tell them something. I want it to come from me so that when they come of age, I’ll just tell them the real story,” Woods said.

“I was to blame, and so I’m taking initiative with the kids,” added Woods.

Tiger said he felt he was responsible for explaining the reason for their split to the children. He explained that his children should know from him rather than from the internet or, worse, a friend.

Tiger told his kids it was his mistake that made the couple divorce. However, he hasn’t revealed the “actual” reason for it.

Woods explained to the kids that as humans, we all make mistakes. However, it is the bright side that they should look at. Although they don’t live together, he and Elin love the children alike.

‘Charlie Sifford Would Be Proud’: Tiger Woods Hands Aaron Beverly His PGA Tour Debut at 2022 Genesis Invitational

Ahead of the Genesis Invitational, Tiger Woods disclosed the name of the recipient of the 2022 Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption. The PGA Tour event is all set to commence on February 17th, and making his first ever appearance will be Aaron Beverly!

Organized by the Tiger Woods Foundation, the $9,300,000 purse event is often known as the concluding event of the west coast swing of the tour and is played in the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades.

A chance to play on this event of the PGA Tour is given annually to a golfer representing a minority background in the form of an exception. Renamed after Charles Luther Sifford, the first African American to play on the PGA Tour, they have granted many deserving candidates this exemption in his honour, with Willie Mack as the most recent one in 2021.

Tiger Woods welcomes the PGA Tour exempt
Tiger took to Twitter to disclose the golfer who will soon be teeing it up in Riviera. He wrote, “I’m looking forward to welcoming Aaron Beverly to @thegenesisinv as the 2022 Sifford Exemption. Like me, Aaron learned the game from his dad. I know Charlie Sifford would be proud of Aaron as he makes his PGA Tour debut at Riviera next month.”

Beverly’s father, who was also an athlete, introduced him to golf at the tender age of three. His game flourished in collegiate golf while playing for the Sacramento State University golf team, where he holds multiple records to his name. Moreover, he does not come with insufficient experience. 2021 was his first year on the APGA Tour, where he had a great debut. In addition, he has played on the Golden State Tour, the APGA TOUR Latinoamérica Tour and Mackenzie Tour.

This is, understandably, one of the biggest moments of Beverly’s life. The ecstatic golfer said, “Receiving the Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption and having the opportunity to play in The Genesis Invitational is a true honor and the opportunity of a lifetime. This is the moment all my hard work and dedication has been preparing me for and I look forward to competing at Riviera.”

Ryder Cup: Ian Poulter was blasted by Tiger Woods in ‘rude text’ as US star ‘not a fan’

The biennial event kicks off today at Whistling Straits, on the shore of Lake Michigan in the US, which will see some of the world’s best golfers take part in the iconic showcase. The 43rd instalment of the Ryder Cup pits a US team, with their 12 players among the best 21 golfers on the planet, against an experienced, yet out-of-sorts, Europe. This afternoon will see the four foursomes, which see players paired up and take alternate shots around the course, open up the Ryder Cup.

Europe’s captain Padraig Harrington opted to go with experience and form in the duo of Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia, who are paired against Americans Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.

Closing the foursomes will be Ryder Cup legend Poulter, who will go around the course with Irishman Rory McIlory as they chase a point against rookies Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.

Poulter has been a thorn in the US’ side throughout his Ryder Cup career, winning on five of his six appearances for Europe.

Nicknamed The Postman, because he always delivers, the 45-year-old’s drive to win the tournament has epitomised his career.

But not all golfers are fans of the popular Hertfordshire-born star, and one of the biggest names in the sport reportedly can’t stand him.

Woods, the legendary golfer who made the sport a must-see watch viewing event throughout the past 25 years, once sent a “rude text” to his then-coach Hank Haney about Poulter.

Writing in his 2012 memoir The Big Miss, Haney said the 15-time Major winner sent the messages while all three of them were on his private plane in 2007.

It is well known that Woods was cold with other players during his career, although he would always speak with those who demanded his respect due to their exploits on the course.

Mr Haney wrote: “Those he genuinely liked tended to be quiet, modest, hardworking guys like Jim Furyk and Steve Stricker, whose ability he respected but whose talent didn’t elevate them to the position of serious rival.

“He kept the super talented at a distance. He didn’t want players who could be a threat to feel comfortable around him.

“He was averse to certain players, especially if he felt their records didn’t warrant all the talk. He wasn’t a fan of Ian Poulter, for example.”

The coach noted that a couple of weeks prior to the US Open at Oakmont, in 2007, some players went into the Pittsburgh area course to get some practice rounds in.
