Naomi Osaka’s former coach Sascha Bajin wrote a book in Japanese recalling his co-operation with the two-time Grand Slam winner. They did not end in good terms and Osaka, asked by a journalist if she will read the book, said: “Man, you’re shady.
I haven’t read it. Don’t plan on reading it.” On her performance in Cincinnati on Wednesday, Osaka added: “I think my first serve this match had its ups and downs. There were moments where I could rely on it and moments where I just went for, like, I went too hard on it, which was unnecessary, because actually, she’s great at returning hard serves.
I should have mixed it up more and kept a higher percentage so she wouldn’t attack my second serve. But overall, I don’t think it was that bad.” Osaka has no regrets looking back to the past: “No, I never have a feeling of wanting to return back to how things were.
For me, it’s just a way of clearing my head. I have been wanting to do that since French, but I just thought it would be weird, because I did that right before Indian Wells, so I was, like, every season am I going to write a paragraph on my feelings? So that’s why I decided not to do it, but then, like, after the Wimbledon I was, like, I feel like — it’s not like I owe an explanation, but I at least should sort of air out how I’m feeling to people that care enough to, like, read a long paragraph. So, yeah, it’s a bit of a therapy-ish sort of for me.”
Usain Bolt reveals he’s ‘always’ had a crush on Beyoncé and he was starstruck to meet her
He may hold the title as the fastest man in the world, but even Usain Bolt gets nervous once in a while, especially when it comes to meeting beautiful women. Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on Friday morning, the nine-time Olympic gold medallist revealed that he has a crush on none other than Beyoncé.
The sporting legend revealed his celebrity crush live on Lorraine
“Because I was always a fan, I’ve always had a crush on Beyoncé, so I’ve always had a conversation I would have [in my head] and when I met her I was like [stares open-eyed] ‘hi’,” he told the day time host. “I could tell I was looking at her weird because she was looking at me like, ‘why is he staring at me’. It was fun though.”
President Obama also has an affect on the 30-year-old, who admitted: “When I met Obama that was also massive for me.”
Usain was on Lorraine to chat about his new documentary I Am Bolt, which follows the sporting legend in the 18 months leading up to his historical Olympic triple win in Rio this year.
Talking about his training, Usain revealed: “People always say, ‘you make it look so easy, I could probably do it’ and I’m like, ‘no, no’. So to make people see the work that I put in and the strain that goes in, mentally and physically. I wanted people to see all of that so they could understand me better and to see the work I put in is no joke.”
The Olympic champion also shut down rumours that he was engaged to his main crush, girlfriend of two years, Kasi Bennett, following a heavily hinted Snapchat image of the couple on holiday. The sweet snap was accompanied by the caption “She said yes”, complete with emojis of a bride and a love heart.
“I’m not engaged. Me and my girlfriend, we went on a trip to Bora Bora and we took a picture and somebody edited my Snapchat, and edited it, and it said, ‘she said yes’ with a ring and a mad face and stuff and I was like [shocked face], it was well done though. It was well done, you know what I mean,” he explained.
Despite there being no talk of wedding bells anytime soon, it hasn’t stopped Usain’s mum from hoping she will be a grandmother in the near future. “My mum is pressuring me. I was like, ‘mum just let me retire and I’ll get there,'” he said.
Unbelievable: Maria Sharapova says she got mobbed in the Olympic village cafeteria
Many players prefer not to stay at the Olympic village as other athletes tend to get a little star struck at coming face to face with high profile superstars. Maria Sharapova got a taste of this herself when she went into the cafeteria at the Olympic village.
Sharapova is the highest earning female athlete in the world and a global superstar. “I’m usually pretty naïve about like people’s knowledge of me, my career, what I’ve achieved,” Sharapova told the press after her first round win on Sunday in London.
“I try to be pretty humble about it, but the biggest mistake I’ve made in a long time was entering the cafeteria. I didn’t walk out eating any food. I barely got an orange juice. It was quite funny. Actually, I didn’t sign any autographs, it was just pictures. I felt like a little statue.”
Tyson Fury stunned two female fans by partying at their flat after selfie encounter
Tyson Fury left two fans “star struck” after partying with them for eight hours after they asked the heavyweight champion for a selfie.
The Gypsy King is still celebrating his knockout victory over Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas earlier this month, which saw him retain his WBC title.
Stella, 21 and Kailah, 24, had asked Fury for a picture before knocking back shots with the champ in a bar.
According to the Sun, Stella and Kailah were “starstruck” when meeting the 33-year-old fighter and called him a “perfect gentleman”.
A source told the paper: “Stella and Kailah are normal hard-working girls who went out for a midweek drink and ended up doing shots and dancing with one of the world’s most famous sporting stars.

“They felt very lucky to be out with him and he was very complimentary to them and they loved his fun-loving personality.

“He’s a beast of a boxer, but out of the ring he’s a gentle, fun-loving guy.”
The pair bumped into Fury, along with boxing pal Andy Lee whilst out in Manchester on Wednesday afternoon.
Outside, they asked Fury for a selfie, which Stella subsequently placed on her personal Facebook page.
Kailah then shared the image with the caption: “Trust me to have no make-up on the day I meet Tyson Fury.”

After exchanging numbers, Lee made contact with the girls asking them to join them for something to eat.
Stella recalled: “I’m just having a drink in a bar. I’m not looking my best right now to be joining for dinner as I’m in my comfies. I’m heading home but I can get ready.”
The quartet then met back up to drink in Miami Ice Bar, dancing and drinking before the four went to Stella and Kailah’s flat to continue the party.
The report added that Tyson called it a night at around 11.30pm, returning home to wife Paris and their six children.
Fury left the party before midnight to return home to wife Paris
“They had a few cocktails together and were asking Tyson about his boxing career and he really enjoyed being in the company of some down-to-earth girls,” the source continued.
“He might be heavyweight champion, but he’s a man of the people and likes to live as normal a life as possible. They thought Tyson was very charming and he was very complimentary to them.”
Fury has been revelling in his trilogy sealing victory over Wilder, partying in Vegas before making an heroic return to the UK.
His night out in Manchester came hours after he enjoyed a game of bingo in his home town of Morecambe along with A League of their Own stars Andrew Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp.
